Big news! Gosforth Youth Theatre is moving, but don’t worry, we’re not going far!

We’ve known for a while now that our time at Gladys Buxton Community Centre was coming to an end. Derbyshire County Council has decided to close the centre for a number of reasons, forcing us to look for a new place to call home. We’ve loved our time at Gladys Buxton, and are really proud of the productions we’ve staged there. SO… Where next?

From September we’ll have a new home at Coal Aston Village Hall! This excellent space will play host to our rehearsals (which will continue to be on Thursday evenings, 7:30-10pm), and be our performance venue for our upcoming productions.

Our last meeting at Gladys Buxton will be on 19th July, at which point we’ll have a summer break to get things ready for the move, before picking things back up on September 6th at Coal Aston Village Hall. Sessions will continue to cost £1 per week until further notice, but be aware that this is likely to change at some point in the not-too-distant future. (Don’t worry, we’ll still be dirt cheap compared with other youth theatre organisations in the area!)

The full address for our new venue is as follows: Coal Aston Village Hall, Eckington Road, Coal Aston, Dronfield, S18 3AX.

We’ll see you there after the summer!
