This year’s SADATA One Act Play Festival will be a one night celebration of theatre.

A lack of entries has meant that the festival takes a different form this year. Nevertheless, Gosforth Youth Theatre will still be there, waving our flag high and proud in support of Sheffield’s amateur theatre tradition.

This year we revisit The Argos Catalogue. No, we don’t need a new toaster, it’s another of Rod Duncan’s historical epics that we last performed at the One Act Festival way back in 2010.

The SADATA One Act Play Festival will be held at Sheffield’s Library Theatre on Friday 15th June, with the curtain going up at 7:15pm. Tickets are £9, and will be available from the Box Office on the night.

The full lineup for the evening looks like this:

Gosforth Youth Theatre

The Argos Catalogue by Rod Duncan

“All aboard with Jason and his friends as they complete the Odyssey in just thirty minutes.”

Tudor Players

Joining the Club by David Tristram

“Peter and Vicky return home from work with news, but how will their news go down with the other?”

53 Theatre Group

The Danahue Sisters by Geraldine Aron

“Awaiting the death of their father, the sisters talk about their unhappy lives long into the night.”
